First Community Credit Union Expands Into Mandan

First Community Credit Union is proud to announce their new location in Mandan is now open at 4614 Memorial Highway, Mandan.This new location replaces the former Bismarck Downtown branch.

This new facility is just over 20,689 total square feet, three stories high, constructed of structural steel and sit on 1.58 acres. With a maximum occupancy of 330 people, this building features an open atrium lobby, multiple conference rooms, safety deposit box room, 14 offices, a large breakroom with a full kitchen and walk out open patio, three drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM. This new Mandan branch will also have tenants and a 1,336 square foot community room, open for the public, with an occupancy of 89 people.

First Community Credit Union Moves Into Famous Mandan Location

FCCUs new location, at the former site of the Mandan Gourmet House.

The First Community Credit Union has recently moved into a new location in Mandan one that carries a lot of history with it.

The establishment at 4614 Memorial Highway is built on the site of an old staple of Mandan-Gourmet House, a restaurant extremely popular in town before its closing in 1989.

With this knowledge in mind, FCCU stated in a press release that they wanted to not only serve area residents with financial services but also stand out with a very special tribute to the Mandan community.

In order to pay homage to the location, the FCCU has included multiple tributes to the history of Mandan in the new establishment, including a photo collage and historic overview of the area dating as far back as 1896 .

Of particular note is a History Wall on the establishments third floor, featuring a timeline of Mandans history from the first settlements in 1200 all the way to the upcoming opening of the new Mandan High School.

This is an exciting new beginning for First Community Credit Union as we move into Mandan, VP of the Bismarck Market Zack Dosch told KX . Were proud to join the community, and our history wall is just a piece of that commitment and dedication to Mandan.

The official ribbon cutting will take place on June 22 at 11 a.m., featuring an appearance by members of the Chamber of Commerce. A free community lunch and guest tours will follow the ceremony.

Fccu President And Ceo Says Scaffolding Came Down Not The Building

MANDAN, N.D. -A collapse at the construction site of the new First Community Credit Union in Mandan will not delay the completion of the project.

President and CEO Steve Schmitz, said it was the scaffolding that came down, not the building.

Schmitz said the scaffolding was being used to build the elevator tower, concrete and staircases.

We have a scheduled completion date of December 2021. So you know, its unlikely that this incident will cause any delay, in pushing that date back at all, said Schmitz.

Schmitz said construction crews are reassembling the scaffolding Monday.

The Recognition Was From Usda Rural Development

In celebration of Homeownership Month in June, Erin Oban, state director of U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, recognized the top three North Dakota lending partners to support rural homeownership thus far in fiscal year 2022. Heather grew up on a farm north of Crary, ND, just north east of Devils Lake. Having grown up with an agriculture background, she understands the ups and downs of an agriculture operation, a much-needed tool as an Ag Lender. Heather holds a degree in Agricultural Education and Equine Science. She taught Agriculture Education in Lisbon, ND before moving back to Devils Lake. After moving back, she worked for the Soil Conservation District and Farm Service Agency, before joining FCCU in October of 2018, as an Agriculture Loan Officer. Getting to know our members and learning about their operations is something I enjoy each day at my job, says Heather. I enjoy helping members with their financial needs whether it be an operating loan, making an equipment or real estate purchase or working through a refinance.
