Ashley Beach-Reid, VP/COO, 1st Cooperative FCU

1st Cooperative Federal Credit Union welcomes Ashley Beach-Reid as VP/COO. In this role, Beach-Reid leads the daily operations of the 50-year-old financial institution that provides banking services to electric cooperative employees, trustees, and their families. She brings to the credit union 14 years of experience in loan servicing, loan accounting, and lending operations. Prior to joining 1st Cooperative, she served as senior manager of lending operations for SECU of Maryland, the states largest credit union with $4 billion in assets.

I chose the credit union industry simply because people helping people was a guiding principle for me personally, Beach-Reid said. The electric cooperatives have the same principle embedded in their foundation and it is what birthed 1st Cooperative, 50 years ago.
