What Are The Benefits Of Doing Business In Memphis
Orions mission is to improve the financial lives of our members. We couldnt honestly say we are dedicated to that mission if we didnt have a presence in the same neighborhoods where our members live, where their children go to school, and where they need support. Doing business in Memphis allows us to have a finger on the pulse of whats going on in our city and to be part of whats happening right now whether thats partnering with the City on initiatives like the Homebuyers Incentive Program, being involved with the newly created Shelby County Schools Whitehaven Empowerment Zone, or being one of the first retail entrants in a rising neighborhood like the Medical District. We believe we have to invest in the place our members call home if we want their business in return. That means doing business in Memphis and giving back to our city however we can.

Funding From Emergency Capital Investment Program
MEMPHIS Congressman Steve Cohen today announced that the Orion Federal Credit Union, a non-profit community development financial institution , will receive $105 million from the U.S. Treasury Departments Emergency Capital Investment Program. The credit union will also receive $213,497 from Treasurys CDFI Fund Small Dollar Loan Program.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
These infusions of capital will bolster the local economy, create good-paying jobs and expand Memphians access to affordable credit and banking. I am pleased to see the Treasury Department investing these resources in Memphis.
