Qualifying Members received cash deposit just in time for Christmas
PANAMA CITY, Fla., December 16, 2021—-Tyndall Federal Credit Union returned $11 million of profits to its members. The profit-sharing payout was distributed among 50,000 qualifying members and deposited directly into accounts on December 16th. Tyndall also eliminated all account maintenance fees, including fees for memberships, ATMs, among others.
Tyndalls year-end “Giveback” profit share is among the largest in the country and rewards members proportionally for their participation with the Credit Union. Individual amounts were calculated based on which online banking services and loans members used, and ranged from $50 to $400.
“People across the Panhandle have dealt with a lot these past years. A category 5 hurricane. A global pandemic. Economic uncertainty. But despite all these challenges, our members have been resilient and our credit union has stayed strong. This is Tyndalls way of saying thank you for your membership,” said Jim Warren, President and CEO.
While commercial banks typically return profit to shareholders, Credit Unions are member-owned financial cooperatives and returns profits to members. Over the past three years, Tyndall has returned $28 million back to its members as profit sharing and storm aid. In addition, the credit unions support for the community includes disbursing more than $200,000 in community grants and offering its staff 4,000 hours for community volunteer service.
Reviews Are Consistently Awful
How in the world do you come up with a 4.8 out of 5 rating when all of the reviews are terrible. I have had nothing but issues with this app. It says iPad compatible but when you speak to a TFCU member services rep they all say that it isnt. I constantly get a denied access you dont have permission to access this account with the credentials provided and yet, its my correct info. I can use Safari and Google to access my account but the official app denies me. Also, I can now access my Billpay service but when I try to go back to the accounts page, it logs me out, almost every time. I can access my credit card statement on Google but not on Safari. This is a real mess. I am disturbed that you are faking your ratings and failing to respond to the many issues pointed out as indicated by the posted reviews. Fix this please. We are counting on you to get this right.

This is not a criticism of Tyndall Federal Credit Union. They are the best people Ive ever banked with. It is really a privilege to be a member. My problem is with the mobile app. It consistently fails and drops and goes inactive when using it. It says network connection failure but my network is perfectly fine for all other apps. Once it goes into this failure mode you cant sign off or do anything else with it. You just have to stay logged in and close it and hope it will time out later. Another problem is setting up biometrics. It is very user unfriendly when trying to set this up, especially if you previously had it set up. The user headings are not specific enough to find the functions easily. You have to check several to find the one you need. This app needs to be completely reworked to make it sensible and user friendly.

I continue to appreciate Tyndall Federal Credit Union. I have never encountered the endless automated telephone answering loop. NEVER. That in itself places Tyndall in a special category. When, on occasion, automated did answer my call, it was swiftly forwarded to the department or person I requested. I do honestly mean, on occasion. Over time, I have had numerous types of accounts. Their interest rates rock, service fees are few, if any, for normal banking accounts, and they have promos frequently. I have applied for and received a HELOC during COVID via telephone, text and emails with no issues. Response to any inquiry was better than timely. S. REDD, my loan officer, even contacted me on weekends. I can also verify TFCU GAVE BACK to their members relative to the members accounts via actual monetary deposits helping offset the COVID impact. TFCU has video banking. I have accounts in other local banks, and to my knowledge, TFCU is unique in this service. I have only had good experiences with TFCU.

Tyndall Federal Credit Union To Close Chipley Branch
Tyndall to close Chipley branch
CHIPLEY – Tyndall Federal Credit Union has announced that it will permanently close its Chipley branch on May 1, 2022.
Our members have been increasingly utilizing our online banking and mobile deposit options, said Seth Spiro, TFCU Chief Marketing Officer. To meet these needs, we will continue to invest in our online banking, mobile app, and video banking. Additionally, we have done away with all account maintenance fees and will not charge any fees for using a non-Tyndall ATM throughout 2022.
Sprio went on to stress that no staff members have been displaced as a result of the planned closing. Chipley branch staff will be working in Marianna or in other roles, he said. The Tyndall ATM will remain in Chipley, and our video banking option and in-person banking at our Marianna branch are still available.
